BANGKOK, THAILAND. It was a 'victorious feat' for the team of 44 Thai students in the recent two international mathematics tilts held in China on July 25 to August 1, 2015.

The two events were the China International Mathematics Competition 2015 (CIMC 2015), a competition for primary students,  that was held in Jilin and the Southeast Mathematics Olympiad 2015 (SMO 2015), for secondary students held in Fujian.

In the CIMC, the Thai delegation tallied a total of 49 awards and 88 medals including 16 gold, 29 silver, 34 bronze and 9 honorable medals, according to Mr. Kamol Rodklai, Secretary General at the Office of the Basic Education Commission.

A total of 627 students coming from 29 countries participated in the CIMC 2015.

In the Sountheast Mathematics Olympiad 2015, Thai mathletes scored three gold medals, one silver, and three bronze.

The 880 students who took part in the SMO came from China, The Philippines, Macao, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Thailand.
