BANGKOK, THAILAND. The Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Albert F. Del Rosario, through the Philippine Embassy in Thailand has released its official statement on Tuesday, August 18, condemning the horrific bombing in Bangkok that claimed 22 lives and left 123 injured. 

"The bombing apparently has the intention to sow terror and we condemn this act in the strongest terms", the statement said. 

According to the statement, the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok is coordinating with the hospitals in the area to verify if there are any Filipinos who died and have been injured in the incident to provide assistance. 

The Embassy also advises the Filipino community in Bangkok to remain calm and observe necessary precautions to ensure their personal safety. 

In a message sent to lonerzone.com, the Philippine Embassy said they are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with Thai authorities.

"Our department has been duly informed about the latest developments," the message said.

The Philippines deplores the horrific bombing near a popular Hindu Temple in Bangkok where innocent lives have been lost. 
The bombing apparently has the intention to sow terror and we condemn this act in the strongest terms.
The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok is in coordination with the hospitals in the area to verify if any Filipinos are among those who perished or have been injured and to provide assistance.
The Philippines stands in solidarity with the government and people of Thailand at this trying moment.
Our people in Bangkok have been advised by our Embassy to remain calm and to observe necessary precautions to ensure their personal safety.
